Good news to report!
Peg’s hand is healing very well.
It looks really ugly, but they took the stitches out on Saturday and she
has full use. It is still sore and I am
trying to make her be careful with it, but you know how she is! We finished off our 10 days in the Seattle
area enjoying lots of time with my friend Suzanne. It was so fun reminiscing about “the good old
days” and getting to know each other again. We ate fabulous meals together… osso buco, and
ciopino; drank lots of great wine and did a lot of laughing. It is much easier to laugh after the danger
had passed…. We continue to crack up at Peg asking the nurse if she was Swedish
because of her lanyard (it is the name of the hospital); and when the nurse
said “I know you are having fun, but…” because we were laughing instead of
crying. It was really fabulous and hard
to say good-bye. Thanks Suz for being
such a great tour guide and friend – we will miss you!
